Hi.
I’d like to know if there’s any space available on a girl’s 5 year old team. I’m assuming it would be U06?? My son just started in BU08 and my daughter now wants to play after watching him. Please let me know.

You should contact the appropriate division coordinator list on our Board Member page. They should be able to provide status for that division.
I’d would like to know if i could register my 14 year old daughter, can you please send let me know.

You should contact the appropriate division coordinator list on our Board Member page. Go to About Us > Board Members.
They should be able to provide status for that division. If she turned 14 after July 31st of this year, then she would be in GU14 – if she turned 14 before July 31st, then she will be in Coed-U16.
I suggest you contact our registrar, he may be able to give you status. His info should be list on our Board page. Http://ayso174.org/board.
Hi – Is there a date when the trophies will be given out to the coach to distribute to the players? We are looking to schedule an end of year team party. thanks. Team Mom
It’s too soon to know what the date will be, but it’s always our goal to have trophies and yearbooks available by the last game of the season, although sometimes it’s shortly after.
Thank you
Is there a place on the site to submit pictures taken for the yearbook?
Why yes, there is. If you click on the Resources page of our site you’ll see instructions, but simply put, you can email photos to paul.andersen.upload@picasaweb.com
and make sure you include the division and team in the subject line, like this:
Subject: U10B03 – Silver Dragons
when are the pictures coming in?
thanks
We are planning to distribute them this Saturday, 10/22.
any suggestions on available parks with lights without having to get a permit where we can practice now that it is getting dark early?
thanks.
I’m sorry I don’t have any suggestion for you. Perhaps you could post the question on our Facebook page and see if any other member of that community have any suggestions.

Yes, easiest way is to email photos to paul.andersen.upload@picasaweb.com .
Be sure to include the division and team information in the subject line of the email.
I am interested in playing for the Turkey Tournament Team for U-16, who should i contact about this?
Turkey Tournament teams are formed by invitation only at this time.
any word yet if the games are cancelled for saturday?
Games are never cancelled days in advance due to weather forecast. As you know, things can change, and yes, it is possible that games could still be played in rainy conditions (light showers, off an on, etc.) If you want to be notified of cancellations or field closures right away, you can register for our text alert system in the upper right hand corner of our website. We’ll send a text as soon as status changes, otherwise, please assume games will be played.
My son will be 4 on May 4th. Can I sign him up for a team?
This is from our Registration page on the site:
“Your child’s age on July 31 determines the division he/she will play in, except for the U-5 division. A child may play in the U-5 division if they are four years of age on or before opening day.”
My grandson is playing in this weekend’s U 10 League Playoffs. We were sent the AYSO Region 174 map which includes a map layout of the fields which are identified as Fields A – D; however, the U 10 League Playoff Schedule notes games being played on Fields 1 – 8. How does this relate?
Thanks for your help.
Good question. We have 4 main fields, A B C & D. These are full sized fields, so when we need U10-sized fields, we simply draw the fields width-wise across those fields. So you think of them as A1 A2, B1 B2, etc. If you haven’t been to our fields before, once you get there it’s pretty straight forward. Fields should be marked, but if it’s not obvious you can always ask at the Ref tent.
Disappointed…
My daughter was supposed to play in an All-Star tournament today in Granada Hills and it was rained out. Considering it was raining very little and not a blown out storm, I don’t understand why the games were cancelled and why they can’t continue tomorrow since the park is reserved anyway. Seems like a waste of a day. There are players who have spent a lot of money to be on these teams who are unable to be there next week do to previous engagements. I am not one of those parents to tell my child that they have to play under any circumstance, but I will say to my child “it’s just a little bump in the road”. The kids most likely would still have had fun, maybe more.
Yes, it is disappointing, but it is pretty common, which is why they intentionally schedule rain make-up days in advance. Unfortunately, because there are so many games and so many teams participating, even if the weather clears up later in the day, completely changing and rescheduling all the teams and volunteers is virtually impossible. It’s much easier at the beginning of the year to say 1/21 is all-star area playoffs, and if it rains that weekend it will be 1/28.
I’m not sure why you’d be paying a lot of money since the tournament doesn’t cost players anything – unless your particular team decided to outfit itself somehow.
AYSO’s primary responsibility is to ensure the safety of the players and volunteers, and while there are times when we will play in the rain, it’s up to the tournament directors to decide if it’s enough of a factor to cancel. By the way, here in socal, the rain isn’t usually the problem – it’s the muddy field conditions that are difficult to play on. We have canceled games in the past due to threat of lightning, severe wind, and poor air quality for the same reasons.
When is the next spring registration date? Will there be any types of clinics for U6 before the seasons starts?
We don’t have an in-person date scheduled, but I typically we’ll have our registrar taking registrations on the saturday of our tournament in march, the North Valley Classic. You can watch this site for updates, or feel free to send your registration application in via mail. There is information and instructions on our registration page: http://ayso174.org/registration
When the does the spring season start and when does the fall season start? Are there any opening’s for a 5 year old girl for the spring?
All of the necessary information and forms are available on our North Valley Classic page on this website.
