Unless you are registering in person, you must send the completed signed registration forms along with your payment to our mailbox. Even if you are registering online, your registration will not be complete until you make your payment via check or money order. We need three (3) copies of the registration form per player per season being added.

Late Registration:
Regular registration will close for the Fall season when the allocated number of players is achieved. Late registration will be accepted. However, late registrants will be placed on a waiting list in the appropriate age division. Our goal is to provide a positive and rewarding soccer experience to each and every participant. As additional players are identified, they will be added to the program from the waiting list in a manner consistent with preserving balance in the affected division(s). Download the Player Registration Form and mail along with your registration fee to:

AYSO Region 174
PO Box 3543
Granada Hills, CA 91394-0543

Please use the correct amount of postage to mail in your envelope.
(One stamp might not be enough if your envelope is too heavy.)
If you are mailing in a four-part form, you keep the bottom copy for your records. Send us the rest!

If you registered online at eAYSO, then send us three copies of the registration form.

Requesting a Drop or Refund:
If you wish to drop and receive a refund for registration, you must print and complete the Drop or Refund Request Form and send it to our mailing address above.

Ages and Divisions:
Your child’s age on July 31, 2012 determines the division he/she will play in except for the U-5 division. A child may play in the U-5 division if they are four years of age on or before opening day. The following are the cutoffs for each division.

Division Age
Under 5 (U-5) – 4 years old
Under 6 (U-6) – 5 years old
Under 7 (U-7) – 6 years old
Under 8 (U-8) – 7 years old
Under 10 (U-10) – 8 or 9 years old
Under 12 (U-12) – 10 or 11 years old
Under 14 (U-14) – 12 or 13 years old
Under 16 (U-16) – 14 or 15 years old
Under 19 (U-19) – 16, 17 or 18 years old

Birth Certificates:
ANY player that did not participate in Region 174 during the 2011 Fall season MUST bring or mail a copy of their birth certificate to complete registration.

Player Evaluations: (Only applies to Fall seasons)
AYSO Region 174 strongly believes in balanced teams. To this end, any player in a competitive division (U-10 through U-19) that did not participate in the program during the 2011 Fall Season, must be evaluated prior to being placed on a team. New player evaluations will be held during June 2012. You will be contacted by your division coordinator to schedule the appropriate date and time for the evaluation. ***Please Note*** This process is not a “try-out.” Each player attending the evaluation will be placed on a team. This is simply a tool to allow the Region to better balance the teams.

Registration Fees – Fall 2012:

    • $135.00 one player
    • $260.00 two players
    • $375.00 three players
    • $60.00 each additional player

Discount Prices apply to siblings only.

Registration Fees – Spring:

  • $85.00 per player

Payment may be made via check or money order made payable to AYSO 174. No credit cards are accepted.

Refund Policy:
Refund requests should be directed to the Regional Registrar via email or in writing to our mailbox. Please download and complete the Refund Request form and return via email or U.S. mail. A full refund will be processed for those requests made prior to the start of regular season play. Once season play has started, refunds will be made on a pro-rated basis, minus an administrative fee of $10.50. No refunds will be made once the season has progressed beyond the mid-point (nominally 6 weeks after play starts).

Contact the Registrar:
Should you have specific registration or refund questions, please contact the Regional Registrar via email.

  1. Hello I was wonderng if your region has under 25 division if so where and when can I register for spring season

    • Yes we do. It will start up again next summer, and we should have information on our website in the spring for information on how to register.

  2. Is this the info for fall baseball

  3. When is the last day to sign up for pring 2012?

  4. Devin Kirkpatrick

Wondering if you are still accepting applications for spring 2012, for the under 5 division?

  5. Greg Nierenberg

I was wondering if the Spring season is similar to Fall in the number of games / practices etc?

    • Spring is quite different, actually. Games are Tuesday and Thursday evenings, and the season runs for about 6 weeks. All games run on the same clock, and most fields are usually a little smaller. It is also typical to not have any practices during spring, but that will be up to the coach. Most coaches will have one practice before the season starts to distribute uniforms and get a sense of players abilities. There are also no banners, candy sales, etc.

  6. Hi, we’re new to AYSO… where on your website can I find more detailed info? Such as, what does the registration fee include? Uniforms? How long is the Fall season? When are games, practices, etc?
    Thanks,
    Michelle

    • Great Questions, Michelle. I’ll suggest we get an FAQ together for these common Questions – but I’ll try to answer some of them here. The registration fees do include a uniform that the player keeps. It does not include cleats, shin guards, ball, water bottle etc. After every game, each player also receives a snack ticket to use in our snack bar. There are typically other team expenses in addition to registration, such as pitching in for banner or snack, and we also typically run a candy sale fundraiser which goes toward the cost of yearbooks at the end of the season. You do not need to pay for the yearbook if you either participate in the candy drive or decide to buy out of the candy drive.
Fall season runs for about 10 weeks starting the first Saturday after labor day, and not including holiday weekends. Post season regional playoff run for an additional week, and the top teams could go on to play in area playoffs in January, and potentially February or March, but this is pretty rare.
Game time depend on the division your child is in, but they can start as early as 7:50am, or as late as 5:00pm. We try to keep game times consistent by division.
Practices frequency and times are completely up to the Coach of the team. Expect at least one practice a week, and two is probably most common.
If you’re child is playing U5, most of what I’ve described is not accurate. U5 plays basically the same time every saturday morning, and there are no practices. The “games” are in fact run more like a clinic.
      Hope this helps.

  7. Do you have a start date for the beginning of the Spring Season?

  8. Reading the other posts is it the case that games for six year olds in the spring would be on Tuesday and Thursday evenings? If so what time? Thank you.

  9. I would like more information on the U-5 division. Are there still any openings?

    • Best thing to do would be to come to the fields between 10-12noon tomorrow and talk to our registrar if you have questions. He can also give you registration status, but I know we are still accepting applications.

  10. There is a ‘register in person’ time scheduled this Saturday Jan. 21st from 10am-12pm. Is that for the Spring season or Fall season only? Is there a deadline for the Spring season? When does Spring season begin?

    • Right now, we have Spring season starting April 10th, 2012. Is divisions are not filled, I believe we could be taking registration applications right up unti the season starts. Registering in person tomorrow will be for Spring and/or Fall Seasons.

  11. When is the next register in person date for the spring season???

  12. Is there another “register in person” date for the spring season in February?
